20.10.2010 (in MLA format, the date is awesome)

this week was the end of the first block, which is another way of saying, the best week of my life! I was taking dance 276 with Kori, which wasn't really that hard of a class, but it was really time consuming, and I was just feeling so overwhelmed. today, i slept in until 9:30 which has got to be a first... in my entire college career... including summers. Life's great.
This week, I also celebrated my 21st! I feel all grown up and sophisticated now. I remember when I was little, 21 seemed so old, and it meant going on a mission. And now, here I am, really old, and going on a mission!! I'm right where I want to be in life. I went to the temple last night, and I got lots of Portuguese stuff for my bday, and i'm so excited to go!! although, the visa office did call me today and I didn't send in something that they need, so they're sending it all back to me to do again. booo. crossing my fingers that it all goes through on time though.

Jacket Weather is My Kind of Weather.

I really, really love Sundays. Our favorite Uncle Lellow was here visiting today, so we had a big meal with Paul and Melissa, and Andrew and Ashley, and Maudie and Margie, and tons of delicious food :)
and while we sat there and listened to Tom report on his kids and all of his cute little grandkids (like Joseph Woseph) I realized: our family is growing up and pretty soon we'll all be spread out with kids of our own! probably by the time I get home from my mission. Which is great because I can't wait to be aunt and play with little babies... but is also sad because how many nbd sunday dinners will we have where everyone is home? I love my family. So glad we were all here today. (well, except of course Katie and Johno who I miss like crazy)
Also, Fall is really beautiful! Today it was so rainy and beautiful outside with the crisp breeze and it made me think that I have quite possibly overrated the sun. The leaves are all still changing colors and the vine at our front door is just starting to turn red :) The only downside to fall is that you know winter is coming, and everyday it's a little bit closer. Sometimes I can't even enjoy the beauty of it because it's so ominous of the wet socks, runny noses, frosty car windows, and dark mornings to come. Hopefully that's still a few weeks away....
